Wow he is awesome looking! First movie I ever saw in a theater was Turner & Hooch that I can remember.. I swore I'd have one of those dogs one day.. seeing this makes me want to hold true on that.

Awwwwwwwwwwwww.. Have I mentioned I love this thread?

haha, thanks NeS! I decided to wait 6 months to do another photo, I figure he's slowed down so much you wont see much difference for a while. I'll do an 1.5 year, 2 year, 2.5 year, and 3 year shot. That last photo was by far the hardest to get, I had to position Kujo while my friend positioned Star, they were both very disctracted and didnt want to stay, but we got it!

Kujo looks amazing! I love his face and wrinkles. He is one of the best looking DDB I have seen.

Looking good! Isn't it amazing when the DDBs start getting their massive head growth? I remember waking up one day and seeing Mateo's head that turned into the size of a basketball seemingly overnight, LOL.

Now that he's 2, he's not done yet--- his martingale doesn't slip on as easily as it did even a few months ago.

He growing up to be such a handsome guy. What a happy face, I could kiss it all day long.

It's hard not to kiss that mug, especially since he gives such nice kisses, no licks, just a little nuzzle :)

It's insane how much his head as grown! I wish I would I had thought to measure his head from the beginning, I'll have to remember for my next Dogue :D

I love Mateo's huge dome!! I wonder, do you recall how much Mateo weighed at 12 months?

Hmmm. I'm not sure exactly (yeah, I'm gonna keep better records on my next Dogue, too, LOL)- but somewhere around 115-118 @ 14 months. I know I had to take him to the hospital around this time last year and that was his weight then.

OK, I like to use Mateo has a comparison for the size of dogue we want next time around.

Kujo @ 12months - 94 pounds
Mateo @ 12ishmonths - 115 pounds

For those of you curious about what your dog should weigh at 12 months, this shows there is no right or wrong answer, it's all determined by the dog.

isn't it amazing how previously "comfortably sized dogs" suddenly look small when you have a mastiff in the house?

Bloody right!
we thought our rottie x bordeaux had a large head, and built like a tank. Then we got brian, and realise the rottie has a pea sized head, and is puny.
And my long haired 2" too tall GSD used to look like a grizzly bear. Now looks like a sheltie eek!

Kugo is awesome, i like the door handle marker, and how he is equalling it now. Leaving your friends dog for dust in growth. IT kinda demonstrates why the feeing in the first year needs to be right.

Alrighty folks, time to update this thread! I took Kujo's 18 month photo the other day, last I checked, about a month ago, he weighed 97 pounds. Crazy to look back on this thread and see that at 12 months he was 94 pounds!

I particularly love this photo...looks like he's laughing his ass off :D

Oh, and Kendall (best friends daughter) really wanted to be in the photo, so here it is :)

Big head! Little red rocket.

p.s. Nobody look, but you may catch a glimpse of the elusive Momma Kujo in the reflection. ;)
