Liberty's Safir making Canadian History Again!

I wanted to share this with everyone, as my boy, Liberty's Safir, has made history yesterday yet again by being the first and only Corso in Canada to achieve IPO 2A title.:eek::eek:

He has done very well in a tough competition, outperforming a number of GSDs, and received good scores and highest evaluation that describes the temperament characteristics of the dog - "Pronounced"!!!

Safir was the only "alternative" breed yesterday trailing on a new field with a new helper. There were 10 other entries, all GSDs (3 in IPO1 and 1 in IPO3, rest BHs). Out of 4 GSDs entered, Safir has beat 3 in Obedience (and beat by many points) and 2 in protection. Not so bad for an alternative breed :)

It was an honour for me to trail under the judge, Lance Collins, that had not only multiple placements in the World Championships, but who was also invited to judge World Championships on several occasions. And to get Pronounced rating under him is something else ;)

I am so very proud! and grateful to have this amazing boy in my life!

Thank you guys!
Coreyc, PSA and IPO are both protection sports. IPO used to be called Schutzhund. While PSA is a very new sport that is currently recognized mostly in Eastern USA and is making it's way out to the West and to Canada, IPO (Schutzhund) has been around for many many decades and is recognized world wide. There are quite a few differences between the sports, but as I have never participated in PSA, I don't want to get into details. :)

Its opposite here in the West - IPO is popular, then some ring and NO PSA at all. What did you think of Tai's pups? Safir is out of Rivale Mojo but his mama is Liberty's Major

Thank you everyone for the kind words! It made me very happy when during the ceremony people were saying to me "Thank you for showing us this dog"! I was very happy to show a Corso to a working community and show everyone that he Can compete with GSDs :)
