Hello! I currently have a 7 yo CC girl who is absolutely fantastic and have decided it might be a good time to get a puppy. The most important considerations for me are health and temperament. Ideally, I want a laid-back, confident, kid-friendly dog that would be happy relaxing with me at home or going for a run on the trails and doing some agility.
A couple of breeders that I've been eyeing are Firehorse and About Time - if anyone who has experience with either of those would be willing to share their opinion that would be fantastic, or if you've got a different recommendation I'd love to hear that as well. I do live in western washington so a reputable breeder with solid dogs that lives closer would be nice, but I'm pretty resigned to the idea of needing to look further afield.
As a sidenote, I did learn that I'm pregnant recently which has made me question the timing a bit, but I have been wanting to get a CC pup for years now and I figure there's always going to be something going on in life that will make the timing less than ideal. I am fully committed to my pets and don't believe in disposable dogs, so this really isn't something I'd be jumping into on a whim. Anyway, I bring it up because I do wonder if this is something that would raise red flags for a good breeder and be a deal-breaker?
