Thought I would give a brief update,

Tammy had her Chemo treatment on Thursday so she is feeling very tired and a little under the weather. As always she is in great spirits. :)

She has 4 IV Chemo treatments left and then she moves onto radiation therapy. Next round of Chemo is on May 2nd.

Not much of an update but just wanted to let everyone know

Tammy had her IV Chemo treatment on Thursday, and the side effects from this one are worse then the last one.

She is really sick and tired from this one.

So please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Update

Well I am afraid my news is not the best. Tammy was admitted to the hospital today for multiple reasons. She has been extremely sick following this round of Chemo, tired, weak and has developed a rash that is getting worse. :(

She was admitted to the hospital a few hours ago, that is really all that I have to share for now. But as always as soon as I find more out I will pass it on to you.

Thank you, everyone. Your thoughts and prayers mean so much to Tammy. I promise I pass every post on to her to let her know how much she is loved and thought about on here.

I am hoping a few days or less she will be out. Honestly I told her that being admitted right now is probably the best thing for her. As they have many many more resources and drugs in the hospital to help her feel better.

Ugh.

I don't think I've ever been this concerned about someone I've never met.

I was thinking the same thing.

Thank you for the updates, cr...and for being such a good connection between Tammy and the rest of us. I can tell how much you care.

Super healing and strengthening thoughts sent for you, Tammy.

I was thinking this as well! Seeing everyone's support has been overwhelming! You all rock!!

Thinking of you, Tammy! Hope you feel better ASAP and next round isn't as harsh on you!

It certainly IS upsetting news, but I agree the hospital is the best place for Tammy at the moment. It sounds as if she may be having an allergic reaction to the chemo, which can best be managed in a hospital environment. Also, as all of us who have been through a cancer journey with a close friend or loved one know (whether the outcome was brilliant or unhappy), that it is an absolute roller-coaster ride. Let's not get discouraged by the first hill. :)

UPDATE

Tammy is home now. But she does have a bad rash that is looking like an infection, so they sent her home with antibiotics, sleeping pills and and antihistamine. We may never know if the the rash/infection is from the Dye (MRI) or from the treatment.

She is not feeling well still. Very weak and tired, she basically has not slept in 3 days. But hopefully that will be cured tonight w the sleeping pills.

Her rash is very uncomfortable right now, so sleeping is extremely hard at this point.

She sends her apologies, (silly B) for not being able to update everyone herself. But I told her that I got it and there are no worries on that aspect, that we all understand that this is a rough road for her. And I also told her that we are here to pick her up when needed and encourage her.

Thanks to a really great friend that I won't mention, from what she has seen on the web it looks like the worst Chemo side effects is between treatment 2 (Tammy) or the third one. So I definitely stressed that to Tammy that fingers crossed this is the worst of it.

But she is home now and HOPEFULLY asleep. :)

I am more than honored that Tammy has asked me to keep this thread up to date. And You are MORE then welcome for the updates.
