I emailed your rescue to see if they would be willing to let me adopt since I am not within the states that they have mentioned. As I am not sure how a home study would work.

She's met a bunch of kiddo's at petsmart & in general public that were all over her with no issue (I kept them back from her the first 2 days), I think it best to keep your eyes on any dog and child tho, not just her (I'm sure you know this).

I think she could eat a cat in less than 60 seconds, she needs to gain some weight LOL.. just joking.. I don't have any so not sure, I could test her tho.

She will be spayed before she goes to anyone, that said she's warmed up to my female well (and other two males).. she wasn't real big on any of them being in her face at first but no issue's now. Being in a shelter probably had her stress & alert level on lvl 10. I took her to the dog park and she allowed 6 or 7 dogs both m/f to approach and sniff without issue, she was on a lead. I will build on this slowly over time.

How do you think she would do with kids, cats, and a female EM?

Scroll up you should be able to see them on page 1 now, there's a bunch.

She was picked up by A/C, no owner came forth.. the shelter contacted SSMR which we foster for and we picked her up last Friday from the shelter.

Can't view the pictures :(
But glad to hear she is being looked after ;-) how did she come to you?

Thank you on the input. I will let you know what the rescue says about me adopting as I am in Illinois. And yes my kids know how to respect animals. As I do not tolerate ignorance from my kids or anyone else when it comes to my dogs. :)

They have a pretty big network group, someone from another rescue maybe able to do that with you.. if your speaking of the home visit.

That's one thing I love about SSMR, they will be thorough with people wishing to adopt. There's no since in these dogs ending up back in a shelter if the fits not right, the dogs have been thru enough already. That said if the adoption doesn't work for any reason the dog is bound by contract to go back to SSMR for re-homing.

Good deal, I hear of a lot of people really just not knowing any better.. they leave a 4/5 year old with a dog and the kids hitting the dog with a toy playing and gets bit.. and no one's giving up their kid so the dog is out. Just makes for a bad ending.

She was brought in with a Great Dane, they were best friends.. the shelter folks said when they would let one of the two out for breaks they would run to the others kennel.

Thought that was cool considering our think they are part Dane since that's mainly who they "play" with.

Awe she looks like such a sweet girl :)

Just thought I would let you know that I heard back from your rescue. And unfortunately they will not let me adopt due to my location and not being able to perform a in home evaluation. :(
