It's rather interesting that you haven't been able to find the training or fila section yet you already joined the controversial group...

? I have been reading the training section seen the fila but until now I didn't see any reason to read there. I still don't think I have a fila but I will be reading, thanks for everyone's concern.

Looks like a Fila to me. Sounds like a Fila to me. Filas are one of the only breeds in the world, if not the only one that simply dont like strangers. Their job is to protect family and property from any and all un wanted intruders. Unless the temp is very soft, you will never, NEVER, get that dog to like strangers. The satan spawn is what your looking at for a dog. As far as they were concerned, you were an intruder. They are the best family dogs. Most Fila owners will say no other breed comes close to the love and loyalty of the fila. But they dont like anyone they aint raised with. Like around all the time raised with. Fila is a mastiff. Fila Brasileiro(Brazilian Mastiff) Not a mix. That look serves a purpose and function. As does the walk, temp, and all the goofyness and crazyness that is the fila

That is a Fila, or possibly Fila cross. A Fila is a type of mastiff. And no, a Fila, especially one who's already showing signs of temperment, isn't going to make a good therapy dog, unless you somehow find a therapy group who wants their patients bitten. You're not going to be able to train that out of him, and attempting to do so using CMs methods is REALLY not going to work, and might end up with you being bitten....
