I'm the proud owner of Shakespeare, a 1.5 year old fawn English Mastiff male. In preparation for the winter, he received a de-shedding treatment at Petco and now he's coming inside. He is 100% house trained, just spent the summer in the back yard. After 3 days inside, his behavior is exemplary; better than the full-time inside Shi-Tzu (the inside joke with the breed name is that is what she does on the rugs). The one concern that I have is in his appetite. I feed him Diamond Naturals large breed formula which he normally loves, but since he's been in the house he has only eaten 1-2 cups of it. Normally he eats 6 cups per day. Confusing! I know that he is healthy, because he just went to the vet less than a week ago. Could he just be getting used to his new surroundings? He has been in the house before! Please give me some of your past experiences.
