She was never kenneled at the breeder and had a dog door for her and litter mates to go in out when they wanted. Here she started kennel the third night. Took to it like a pro, a minute or two of noise then sleep until she had to go outside (few hours at start) now straight through till morning (4:30-5:30). Then she will stop the noise while i get dressed, then she walks right to the door, outside for number 1 then 2. When she gets up early she will walk back to her kennel and sleep for another hour. The majority of the time she goes inside to her water and will sit patiently staring at me with the feed me please eyes. She sits till her food is in the bowl (transitioning from puppy to adult 25% protein) so two bags to dig through. But she waits till the bowl is down, then waits till i open the fridge for her special ( one teaspoon of plain greek yogurt) pop that in and then i say time to eat and away she goes. I always place my hand in the dish grab some food and hand feed about three four times then i let her be. When she is done its back outside to lay on the couch and sleep... while i sit next to her light petting, drinking coffee and enjoying the morning quiet.. Thanks Jaszie for being the perfect alarm clock for me.

So we have been Jaszie's for 3 weeks yesterday.. she had a terrible biting problem. I've got the marks to show lol.. tried the yipe, toy, loud stop, loud no.. nothing seemed to really work. Started hand feed while petting and praising and now she is a lot better. Is it the hand feeding? Growing out of it? Learning that it is not welcome? Whatever the case she is now better not completely taken care of but 90% better. Last night we had our neighbors over (3 adults) and our daughter had a sleepover here.. Jaszie was introduced (we keep working on training the people who come in. Tell Jaszie to sit then small treat we provide then pet). She did fantastic after a minute or so sniffing the people she just settled down.. dinner at the table has been great from the start, she either eats her food which is also near the table or lays in the living room playing with her toys. Last night she got curious and came round the table one guest started to interact with Jaszie and we just said not at the table please). He kinda looked at us and we said "well she is only 17 inches and 30lbs now.. but in a few months she will be tall enough to eat from your plate and weigh enough to make you let her, so unless you want that now is the time to stop it". After dinner with some drinks and coffee in hand we all went outside for some conversation and Jaszie play time.. then desert (Jaszie got a cookie i make for her) and everybody said she is such a good dog (of course they would otherwise the weekly supper at our house would stop lmao, jk) Jaszie did sit for anyone who told her to and got lots of hand fed kibble treats (her regular food but she likes doing things for it)

Sounds like a great night! To answer the biting question, all of the above! Everything you do helps. Dogs are much smarter than people give credit for(general statement not directed at you). You can even try mimicking a growl and stiffening your body, no physical contact, eye contact. They get it, trust me. The main thing is that you are consistent, regardless of your chosen "consequence", you have to be clear that every time her teeth touch skin it's not allowed. Sounds like you guys are doing well with her. Just keep it up and with time you will be shaping a perfect companion.
