  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

Need some good thoughts sent my way!

Brick - it's more of a brownish/grey. It looks red in the pic but it's not.

It's at plumb rough stage...I misjudged when they'd be pouring foundation. Maybe with a week or 2?? Not entirely sure. That back fence is the common fence & I think is about 10 ft high if I'm not mistaken. It's on top of a retaining wall that you can't see from this picture. And my picture sucks bc it's so small. I'll probably be going to the design center later this week & pick the rest of my selections. I also had $3000 in upgrades negotiated into my contract so not sure what I'll use that for just yet! :) with me working in the field I have a lot of connections with vendors & can get some killer deals. I'll be having the carpet ripped out fairly quickly after moving in & going with a 5" real hardwood plank floor:

And will also be looking into having a humidifier/anti-allergen type system added onto my hvac system. All in all, give it a year & I'll have all the upgrades I wanted in my home for much less. :)

Congrats on the house! Building is so much fun. Take oooooodles of pics! It is so nice to be able to run wires where ever you want, know exactly where all the pipes are and have electrical outlets put wherever you want them!

I've had humidifiers in houses growing up and they never worked right. My husband had one put in our house now when we replaced the entire HVAC system two years ago and we have had to have Frymire out three times to work on it. Next house I'll just put my vaporizer next to the bed!

That's good to know!! Maybe I won't do that & save some money! Thanks!

Thought I'd update this. The house is moving along...at freakin lightning speed. So on 3/24 they hadn't even finished plumbing rough. Here we are at 4/12 & I think they either did install shingles or are about to. They are soooo fast. I went to my design meeting this past Wednesday. I'm surprised at what $3000 got me. I got a French door stainless steel fridge, upgraded my other appliances to stainless steel, upgraded my cabinet uppers to 42" & pre-wired the outside sides of my garage for coach lights. I lost $50 of that $3000 but anything else I would've selected I would've had to pay 100% instead of the 25%. I'm stoked about that fridge!

Pics!

Selections:
Interior paint (walls on top, trim is the bottom sheet. I think maybe it's vice versa) carpet & cabinet stain. Cabinets are knotty alder. Laminate (will later be changed to granite) & tile for wet areas. The front door color is the last small square on the right, walnut. Door is fiberglass & will be changed out later.
