This dog could destory the Eiffel tower if he could. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good strong chew, that would keep this thing busy?

They have them at petsmart but they are ridiculously expensive. I've seen some online, spelled antlerz, try a google search. I can't remember which site I found them on. Duchess needs one & I've kept saying I'm gonna get one but she's a moron & probably would be afraid of it

Eta: I didn't realize you were still talking about tires. Lol

Hank kills everything too so I will be trying this stuff out too. We buried redirection duck last week. I loved that toy but alas he killed it in four and a half weeks.

Arty kills them in a matter of minutes usually, those Pogo ones have lasted for weeks. I'm highly impressed.

:fingerponit: Owlsong started it!

Rachiemay I do have dear antlers and skulls that I found so I keep them as a collectors item. No voodoo I promise. Stone LOVES to chew. Thankfully he hasn't chewed on anything ( that I've caught him) he's not supposed to. However he destroyes bones in a matter of minutes like 2-3.

Ruth, thanks for the link. I'll see if I can find it on amazon first, before I buy it. Do you have any suggestions for bones?

On the rare occasion Apollo wants something harder to chew on he goes for one of these: http://www.nylabone.com/product-finder/my-pet-is/dog-large/dura-chew-bone-original.htm (note: there's a softer "fexibone" version too, he doesn't like that one as well and I imagine it wouldn't last as long), but usually he'll go for antlers. Arty's not big on harder toys, he either wants to kill it and pull out the squeeker (and then spread any stuffing across the living room), or he doesn't go for it really.

Been kind of sketchy on the nylabone stuff, are they safe?

Yeah Ruth that's pretty much Stone, I'm not sure if its just a puppy stage, him, or both, but really loves to use his mouth. Killing things he's there, or so I think he would. He terrorized the cat before he was put in place.

Junior has gone through a couple of Nylabones. They last a decent amount of time. I also got him a fairly large tire from the Petco that he initially tried to chew up, but has since grown out of the chewing phase, so we use it as a toy outside. They seem pretty durable.

I've never personally had a problem with them? I do know someone who discovered that some of the giant bones are hollow not solid the hard way when a tooth got trapped though. I have to admit though that with the exception of Apollo's favorite fish chews I don't buy tons of them anymore, both boys seem to get their fill of chewing from the real bones I give them.

Acadia Moose antlers. I find that they last much much longer than deer or elk antlers.
You can buy them online.

Did you have any digestive issues with Junior due to the nylabones AKBull?

Seems like I have a fetish because I'm always watching him poop, so I tend to notice things that might irritate him. I didn't notice anything all that abnormal. The bones seem to break down in tiny pieces and pass easily.
