Need your help about a Dogue deBordeaux!

Im looking into buying this puppy. The breeder is a reputable breeder in Hungary.
I want to know from someone who knows the breed very well. Now to my question. I was looking at the pictures and was wondering, is this is a show quality dog?
i appears that his "rear hips" seem to be set low. I dont know if this is normal for the breed? any help about this puppy would be great. Oh ! he is 3 1/2 months old and is almost 66lbs.

I am not sure about the breed standard for the DDB or his rear end but I have to say he is quite the looker. Is it possible for them to take a picture of him stacked and without any of the other puppies around? That would give you a clearer picture of how he looks.

I also dont think you can pick a "show quality" pup when they are so young. Looks like he has good bone though.

At NM, yes she is going to send me a video of him tomorrow and I will make sure she sends me pictures of him stacked as well and post them.
At Snakeman, I know it takes some time to determine if they are " show quality", I guess I should have said show
potential. :)
Does anyone know the process for importing dogs?

He is definitely old enough to tell potential/Quality. I would wait for better pictures and video before studying/breaking down his flaws. I think a proper stacked picture will help leaps and bounds with deciphering structure. I think some of the pics give the impression of small hips, but in others he looks great. You really need some other pics on a hard flat surface with no "distractions" (left, right, front, and rear). I would also get angles of the head (and teeth) as the bordeaux is a "head" breed. I would also get a video of free play, while stacked, and with on leash ring movement if you are interested in showing. The breeder should be able to tell you his potential and any faults or positives he brings to the breed. No dog is perfect, and a good breeder will be able to discuss this objectively.

As far as importing, Your puppy will have to have a health certificate from a vet and a 30 day old rabies vaccination (since he is over 12 weeks), unless Hungary is a rabies free country, which I don't believe. Other than that, as long has he has those records and appears healthy he should pass through customs just fine. You will need to go to a customs area to answer questions, fill out forms, etc. Cost varies on airline and weight of dog but is usually 800.00-1200.00, for shipping, crate, vet fees, customs fees, etc.

Snakeman, I live in Florida.
Oak hill: this is something that the breeder takes care of correct?

I was told the only thing I would have to do is pay for the dog and the shipping. 1500 euro for the dog. She said she
Usually pays 600 euro for shipping but would let me know exactly tomorrow. The dog has all vaccination including rabbies animal passport and export pedigree.

Yes, The breeder usually pays for all of the costs for paperwork, certs, fees, shipping, etc, but adds that into the shipping price. At least in my experience.

LOL love it where he's like ... "what's on my leg? Some kind of stri-OMGGETITOFFGETITOFF!" then immediately walks right back over.

I am not an expert or as familiar with DDB as other mastiff breeds, adorable puppy, but I would not say show quality.

He's very cute :) I don't know much about DDB conformation, especially as a young puppy, but something does look off with his back end to me. Also, isn't 66lbs A LOT for a 3.5 month old DDB?
