Hi there, i'm a first time ddb x mastiff owner. Buck is 8 weeks and 15lbs (just over 7kgs) Is this a good weight for him? I've been reading up and know that it differs with every dog but was just wondering if this was a good average. Also my vet recommended royal canin junior large which he is doing well on but i'm starting to think he should be on royal canin junior giant. He his currently on just under 3 cups over 4 meals a day although he doesn't finish everything in his bowl sometimes. He is filling out well so am i wasting food here? royal canin isn't cheap! Also is he now too old for puppy milk? Any advice would be much appreciated, we only want the best start for him.

He's a little old for puppy milk. Also I'd do some more research on food. Royal Canin really isn't nutritionally balanced for a growing giant breed pup. You'll soon learn that vets don't always know best when it comes to these big guys.
