New EM for Me\Advice

Hello all! To be a breif as possible, I will be getting an 2 1\2 EM male in the next few days. I have been studying up on the mastiff breeds for several months and had initially fell for the Corso. Due to lack of funding, I had decided to start saving and possibly purchase one this summer. However, and daughter of a friend of mine is going through a divorce and needs to rehome her EM. She learned of me, we have talked a significant amount of time, and I have decided to take him.He is well socialized, well mannered in the home...goes to ballgames, lakes, town, etc. He is also used to very small dogs, which I have one myself. He is a BIG luv bug.My concern, since he has been her baby for 2.5 years, how easy of a transition will this be on him? What can I expect? I know this is only speculation on your part, but hypothese will be appreciated!

Welcome! Well we just got a almost 2 year old EM male a couple of months ago from a family. The first day we had him he didnt eat much, but within a week he was part of the family and happy. I think if you show him lots of love and keep things quite he should do fine! Good luck, love to see some pics!

Congrats on your new addition! Have lots of patience and give him lots of love. He will be missing his previous owner which is natural. I bet if he likes to play with your little dog, the transition will be a little smoother too.
