New Poof Bed

All of my dogs are totally obsessed with these big puff ball beds from Drs Foster and Smith. They flatten out after about 8 or so months, so their new one arrived today. I could barely get it out of the box before Mazey and Rhaegar tried it out. The best part is that the dogs prefer these to being in our bed.

Oh don't you worry about the cats, lol. Here's their bed lineup:

That's in their cat room, and they have cat trees and cat hammocks in the windows.....Although in my experience, the more you spend on something for a cat, the more likely they are to completely ignore it, lol. Not to mention, they have no trouble taking over the dogs' beds.

And when a dog bed simply won't do? A dog will.

Haha, I'd love to see a photo of this! All three of my dogs love these beds, and two of them prefer them to any other dog bed, couch, or human bed (although the third still would rather sleep in our bed). A former foster Dane of mine loved them too, so her adoptive mom bought some of them when she brought Mia home. She told me it was the first time her other Dane had ever chosen to sleep overnight in anything other than her mom's bed since she got her as a puppy. That being said, a friend bought one for her corgi, and he hated it (although he happily sleeps in our poof beds when we dogsit him, lol). So it all just depends on the dog.

I bet Miss P would love a poofy bed like that. I wonder if I could try it out with a beanbag chair or something similar.

When the poof bed flattens, do you refill it or toss it? I ask because you said the beds last ~8 months. Have you looked into CordaRoy's ? I wonder how they compare? How much is a poof bed?

CordaRoy's - The most comfortable versatile chair in the world.

This is AWESOME!!!! I am soooooo getting one so I can get rid of the old queen size mattress on the floor in my room lol, I feel like a circus performer everytime I go into bed as I have to walk on it to get into my bed, BOING BOING BOING HAHAHAHAH. Vic uses it as a trampoline to jump up on the bed its funny. I have a sunken bedroom so there is a step down into the bedroom, she comes in and jumps from the step onto the mattress and then boings up onto the bed, its funny and I will try to have my camera in my room to catch it lol

The only problem is my bed is higher up then normal bed, its almost 4 feet off the ground and I do have an old Electrolux vacuum box at the foot that they have been using since 3 months of age but now that they are older they do jump on and off the sides and the mattress helps in reducing the jolt on the front shoulders and legs, when I lift the mattress up to vacuum under it and they happen to jump off the bed onto the floor, you can almost feel the impact lol so ya the stupid mattress has to stay for my piece of mind hahahahaha they don't really sleep on it, they wrestle on it , mess the blankets up on it, they do sleep on it periodically at night.

I think I will be looking into one of these, take up less space and very portable, thanks Hector for the link. Never heard of them before.

It might be a pain in the ass to put the bed back into the bag, but who knows. For the price, I hope it is comfortable enough to be using it as a main bed!

I actually have a big box of polyfil that I use to restuff their other beds when they start to get flat, but I haven't done it with the poofy beds yet. Right now I just have two old ones stacked that Rhaegar is currently using as his throne, lol. I just wanted to go ahead and buy the next size up for them so Mazey and Rhaegar can share a little easier. And the beds on Drs Foster and Smith go on sale pretty frequently. I've never paid full price, I always wait until they're on sale. I think I paid about 50 dollars apiece for the larges and 75 for the extra large.

Those CordaRoy's look pretty awesome. Maybe I'll splurge one day, I'm sure they would last a lot longer!
