New puppy

Hello! We have just recently lost our beloved 11yr Fila! She was the very best dog and although we know we could never replace her, we would love to have another dog to help raise our 4 kids and keep us all safe!

We unfortunately lost the name of our breeder. We are looking for another black fila and prefer one with a good temperment w/ kids and no health problems. We have a big yard and pasture in back and lots of love to shower on this amazing dogs! Any suggestions would be great! We live in NM. We THINK our breeder was from Tennessee but that was eleven years ago??!! any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I'm sorry to hear of your loss.

Have you considered rescuing a Fila? I'm sure others will post a reply to help you out with the breeder.

I think a rescue Fila with 4 kids might not be the best idea. I don't know any breeders but Ace, chuck or mountainfila might be able to point you in the right direction.

Mary, I was talking about a Fila puppy at a rescue. I agree, an older Fila might not be a good idea with 4 kids since history will be unknown.
