New to Corsos, 1st ear crop, HELP!

I recently got a Corso puppy. We had her ears cropped Friday. One ear is laying flat on her head while the other is standing nicely. We go to have the stitches removed this Friday. My queston is will her ear stand or will it require intervention? Also, I have read different things about posting corsos ears. Some say it's not necessary, and others say it always has to be done. Please help, I'm new at this. And if you just want to bash me for cropping my dog's ears, go to another thread because nowhere in my thread did I ask for that. Thank you and have a nice day.

I had Solo's cropped before I picked him up from his breeder. She had her vet do it. After a week being with me, one stood up...I was like, "great, he looks like a dork." Sent the breeder a pic and she started laughing. She said that's normal and the other one would stand sooner than later. Couple days later the other stood up. I never used gadgets to make them stand...my breeder told me she never does so I just followed her advice. I just rubbed his ears a few times a day....no issues and beautiful cropped ears.

A few variables will determine when and how your pups ears will stand and what if any action you will have to take once stitches are removed. Genetics, even within the same breed differences in size, shape, structure, and cartilage density exist. Age your pup was at time of surgery, I've heard the older they are going in the tougher it can be to get them to stand. The shape you opted for and how well the vet performed. And also as season said time, everyday your pups cartilage is getting denser and more rigid and before you know it able to support two free standing ears. You may have to tape, you may have to pin, and you may have to do nothing at this point I think it's still a bit early to determine that. Congrats on your first Corso! They are amazing animals and beyond rewarding partners if raised right

Thank you both so much! My fears are eased a little now lol. Kerah was 12 wks at the time of the surgery and as of right now, the stitches are still in. I keep telling everyone I have 5 kids and I've been more freaked out since Kerah has had her ears done than I've ever been over my kids...haha. I actually had her back into the vet 3 times since she's had them done Friday! I am looking forward to raising her and having her become a member of our family.20150519_180349.jpg I have attached a picture of what her ears look like as of now...like I said, stitches don't come out until Friday. :)

I'm 99% sure the massaging of the ears would be after stitches are out as any pulling or tension on the stitches could slow the healing process
