Ahreez. A 2yr old male in Lake Placid NY area who needs a home. Ahreez is good with people but not so good with other dogs. Ahreez has lived an indoor life but tends to want to sing so a private home would be optimal.

Transport is likely availible (it usually is). Although they don't say its very likely he is NOT good with cats, and any "pocket pets" including rodents, guinea pigs, and even rabbits (as well as poultry) should be considered NOT SAFE with him in the same room. Even caged.

As stated he needs a home that is NOT an apartment, and likely a condo or townhouse wouldn't work either. These dogs are quite loud. Nor do they handle like "normal" dogs. Primitive experience is NOT required, but it would stand you in good stead. A secure fence is likely required.

You can contact the rescue via the above link, or me and I'll pass along your information.

For those of you who are un-aware I DO own a Singer, and would be more than willing to answer any questions you may have on the breed.

Also there are two pups in FL via a breeder who are in need of homes.

Kyra (female on left) and Kona (male on right) are still looking for homes to call their own. New Guinea Singing Dog pups born on 9/23/13 - photographed here at 5 1/2 weeks old.
They will be ready to go to their new homes at the end of November. Located in Florida. Being raised in the house with several other dogs, cats, and two toddlers. Very sweet, attention-seeking babies. Will make a great addition to the right home.
Please contact me if interested. These babies both had homes lined up prior to birth, but due to personal emergencies, their buyers can no longer add a NGSD pup to their households at this time.

All inquiries for these two pups should go directly to Andrea Reddick, but if you don't have Facebook I can pass along your contact info.

a video of these two:

Please turn up your speakers or put on your head-phones, the background noise is what a peeved Singer pup sounds like. It only gets worse as they age.

Also, though Andrea has put effort into raising these pups with children and cats they will still require a SHITLOAD of work to be kept in a house with cats or kids.

I realize that technically because they are coming from a breeder they are not "rescues" but they take a HUGE amount of work to find the right home for. Andrea only bred because she had homes for these pups. But life changes and those two homes cannot take Singers now. And so the work to find them an appropriate home is on!

Huh; as I was getting ready to watch the vid, I had to turn the volume wayyy up, because Sunny had all 3 girls howling & crying downstairs. And I was thinking, I don't know if we can put up with a lot of howling & crying.....:slapme:
Are they bonded? Do they have to go together? Also, will a baby gate keep them from coming a spiral staircase? We have a cat who lives upstairs. She's afraid to come down with 4 bullmastiffs. Are they agile? Will they be able to jump up the side of the stairs?

No problem!

The answer on the baby gate is maybe. We've been mostly successfull with Arty with teaching him not to go over baby gates AND not to chase MY cats. I'll warn you its work though. ThEy are VERY agile climbers.

Andrea's in FL too though, so maybe you'll be able to go visit and meet the adults too.
