Hey what's up everyone. Well, I got a new dog. Not a mastiff, not even a dog I've ever planned on owning. He's a 6 year old Jack Russel Terrier, his name's Dude. Got him from a guy I used to work for when I was a kid, always liked the dog. and I haven't heard from the guy in about 2 years, all of a sudden he shows up with Dude and a dog pillow. Told "here you can have him. If you don't want him I'm taking him to the pound!" he called the dog it hesitated when he approched, he just smacked the shit out of the poor little dog! I just hate abuseive people. I told him if he hit the dog again , I'd whoop his ass. Then told him top GTFO here. It wasn't what I had planned, but there is no way I could say no. He's a really nice dog. Pretty low energy. He's sleeping on his bed right now.So that's my good news for the night:).

Hey thats great news, let me be the fist to say CONGRATS!! Well done you for saving and loving Dude, I hope you have many happy and long years together. how you refrained from smacking the guy I dont know because I know i would have went a little wild on his butt....and yep Im a girl but it wouldnt have stopped me. Good or bad I cant stand people that abuse animals and want them all to die a slow and painful death....

Thanks. Well , the main reason I didn't react to that BS was because I'd prefer to stay out of jail:). I don't think I could get away with it for defending the dog.Even though I should be able to. It's really sad Dude's such a nice dog, but every time I go to pet him you can see he's bracing to get hit.Well atleast he won't ever be hit again! He'll be able to live out the rest of his life well taken care of, and well loved:).

Dude will soon learn that a hand is a thing of love, treats and everything good. Poor Dude! My heart breaks for him but is happy you found him and saved him from misery.

Thanks everyone, I gotta say it's funny having such a little dog, it's like having a little a puppy, he plays hard for about 5-10 mins, he's done. He sleeps quite a bit. Untill today he's never had a leash on him, he didn't come when he was called(wonder why). But he learns pretty fast. For having him for less than 24 hours he's warmed up alot. But the bad news, he seems to be very dog aggressive found that out pretty quick.took him over to my buddy's house, as soon as Dude seen his female English Bulldog, his hair stood up, he was growling showing his teeth, and trying to get at her. Then he did the same thing with my neighbor's black lab they're both male. they both came up to the fence Dude lifted his leg and marked the fence already has his hair standing up, the black Lab barked, dude went off! he started barking, and trying to bite through the fence. So, I don't think I'll be getting another dog in his lifetime. I could prob. make it work, as I'm used to dealing with dog aggerssion with my APBTs. But I don't think I want to put the stress on an abused senor aged dog.
