New York Supreme Court: No legal basis to find dogs dangerous based on breed | Bless the Bullys
About time someone had some sense!
Finally a state gets it right!! Let's hope that other states might learn from this!
They are trying to pass BSL against PBs here in the Riverside and San Bernardino area requiring spay/neuter of all PBs. It may have already passed. Really effin sucks for the PBs it just makes them look worse.
If I wre you Mike I would keep close tabs on that. And do whatever I could to help discourage it. If that passes, it's a gateway for all other breeds, including yours.
I so agree with you ruby...this kind of action is a threat for more than pits....we are all at risk here!
I agree, when AC used to come around when I had my PB/Staffie I told them it was a mutt but they had the Registration Paperwork and tried to ask me all sorts of stupid questions like has she been in fights and or bit anyone. I told them to pound sand it was none of their business if it had not been reported. Now I tell them Jade is just some mastiff mix. San Bernardino County covers Big Bear where I live so it really is happening in my home area.
If you read this story, and how things went down, it's a total no-brainer: the pit was defending itself and his owner from an unprovoked attack.
What a waste of court time and un-necessary drama...
