Proper amount for Chica

So we were able to get a mass grinding in last Thursday and are set for a few weeks! I have a bag of kibble sitting here but hope we can make it through the holidays:) My question is about Chica's portions. Her ideal weight(according to our vet) is 135 lbs. A bit on the thin side due to her extremely arthritic knees. She was 133 lbs in October at the time of her surgery and x-rays. We were feeding her 3.5 lbs per day and backed down to 2.5 lbs a day. She was gaining weight rather quick at 145 lbs 2 weeks post op. Lowered to 2 lbs per day but she is now hovering at 150 lbs! We give marrow bones when they are in cages while we are gone but it is not all that much, and chicken or rabbit feet for treats(maybe 2 a day). I can see her stiffness at times and I'm getting concerned. She is 6 yrs old and not too active. I think she looks good, not over weight, but do agree with the vet that she will feel better at a lower weight. Any suggestions of a good amount to take some weight off? I hate to lower more because 2% of 135 lbs is 2.7 lbs. When we take her to walk or run she has no interest except to stay by us. If we walk too much(3/4 mile) she gets super sore and lays around(more than usual) for the next days. Thanks!

What about starting her on raw and feeding the kibble to the other dogs? Is she on weight management/senior food? My senior has the same problem: old, not too active, fat, arthritic. I had her on totw and she was almost down to 1 cup and was still fat, but I got her some weight management diet food and was able to give her 2 cups a day and she lost weight. The strange thing is that the kcal/cup is almost the same at totw so that part is confusing. I'd also start her on glucosamine supplement around 2000mg a day. Also, try feeding her kibble by asking for some tricks/obedience, very simple ones so she can at least be moving around a bit.

"What about starting her on raw and feeding the kibble to the other dogs?"All dogs are on raw. I was concerned about keeping up with raw over the holidays but we managed to get it done:) Are you thinking to get her on a weight management kibble? She refused kibble when she came this summer but LOVES feeding time now! I am adding organic beef gelatin to her ground mix. I will grab some glucosamine this week. Has anyone tried the turmeric paste I've seen posted on here?

Turmeric paste worked really well for inflamation and limping for us. It got rid of the limping and then I stopped giving it and transitioned over to green lipped mussel powder as a source of gluco. Once the limp went away, I haven't seen it come back. I have to admit it didn't do much for my old dog, at least not on the outside.

I tried the turmeric paste with Kryten but his stomach was unable to handle even a tiny amount. Coconut oil does help him. I also give him glucosamine but I don't know if it helps or not.
