Questions of feeding and exercise of 6 month old

I am new to this site, I did go through past topics a bit...so I am sorry if this is a repeat question. We have a 6 month old EM/GSD x. He is about 70 lbs right now. My main questions are
1) Should he be on adult or all life stages food? He currently eats Halo spots stew for puppies
2) How much should he be eating? He eats about 5-6 cups a day, broke into two meals
3) Is there a limit on how much we should walk him? We normally try to take him for a mile 2x a day....he seems fairly "lazy" and doesn't care if he walks or not
Thank you for any help. We are not new to dogs, we have a 9yr old 105lb GSD.....but we are new to Mastiffs and have forgotten a lot of puppy knowledge.

If you go to the thread 'obedience & sports' you can read what others have posted about walking. It's titled "How much should I walk him" I have a 5 month Eng/Neo... I currently feed him Diamond brand large breed puppy mixed with chicken soup for the dog lovers soul (was on puppy lovers from 8wks to 5mos). He's about 75lbs and eats on average 7-8 cups a day/3-4 times a day. Sometimes more, sometimes less. He decides when he's hungry/full. My theory is that just like growing children thier needs change along with appetites. He never over eats and he walks and plays daily. Not sure when I'll switch to all adult yet, perhaps when his appetite stablizes. at that time I will still feed 3 times a day.

Thank you for your input. I did look over the walking post as well. Too funny, Tank will also freeze and stare down anything he doesn't recognize....he is slowly outgrowing that thankfully. It helps I walk him with our Shepherd who ignores everyone and everything so I think he is helping teach him.

My neighboor has his mother & would love to walk them together but 1. not sure that she is leash trained and 2. I'm 5'7", 112lbs... 'nuff said! It's all I can do sometimes to keep my shoulders from dislocating with just him!! He is very much a puppy when he sees a butterfly, crickett or grasshopper! Or a neighboor who exclaims "my what a big puppy!" He will 'leave it' on command but sometimes he sees or hears before I do!

I hear you there. My GS is very leash trained....thankfully as he is 105 lbs, EM is 70 + lbs and I too am 5'7 and 115!! We use a double leash and it works very well!

can you explain double leash? and please excuse my ignorance... what does GSD stand for? I get EM for english mastiff and x for mix, just dont know my breeds well...

German Shepherd....no problem..I guess I didn't know what EM meant until I got one either:) The leash is just like a regular leash for the most part, but it splits at the end with a hook for each leash, you can then adjust the space between the dogs from 12-24 inches...so in essence it requires them to walk next to each other.
