So last night I got home with the dogs from riding at the arena with the horses. Right as we backed into the driveway Dana started barking and her hackles were up. I thought she must have just seen some deer in the yard or across the street but she was much more upset then that. So we get inside and she is still barking so I tell her "go see" which is our command to basically search the house. She went barking through the house and reported back to the laundry door to get me. All was clear. Anyways, I go along cooking dinner and she will not stop barking. She would lay down and use her muffled bark and then get up and stare at the door barking. I finally took her back out front to look because she was so unsettled. She growled and barked for a bit then calmed down. I have no idea what she saw, smelt or anything. But my husband is on nights and that is when she usually is a little more "alert". All the while I just kept thinking " I can't wait for Bear to come into temperament". That will be a wonderful day.
Side note: he isn't too vocal, i.e. barking. If he hears something or Dana is barking like last night, he stands very erect and just listens or is very quiet. Are Filas usually more vocal? He is only 15 weeks.
