Shows in AB this Fall

Hi, hoping Cody will post, or anyone who knows, really. Looking for some shows to attend in Southern AB this fall.

My boss informs me i have to take 8 days vacation by end of the year. Thought I'd visit a friend in Lethbridge and take in a show, hopefully see some corsos and breeders.

Would have loved to have gone to the Corso show (SACCI) in NOLA in November but the funds just aren't happening. Still kinda looking at it though.

It's being hosted by the Lethbridge and district kennel club but the last time I checked their website it wasn't up to date. One of Jiggers agility teachers is on the board last I heard I can ask her for more info if you'd like.

I think that friends of mine are showing in Alberta this fall but not sure of what shows. She is in Red Deer, think she tends to go to Calgary, Red Deer show and maybe Lethbridge but am not sure. Can check with her if you want so that you can see if there will be corsos at the show you are going to attend.

There is a show in Camrose Oct 25-27, then Red Deer is Nov 1-3rd and then Lethbridge is Nov 15-17 :) Red Deer usually has the best turn out, not many in Camrose and I don't think any one has shown yet in Lethbridge. I am not sure of who is out right now as we are taking a break from showing to focus on Agility :) Last time out was August, where BJ did pretty good. 2 BOB and 1 select in the 3 days he showed :D Probably won't be in the ring until spring. However Kelly if you are in the area I would love to meet up with you and introduce my meat heads. Let me know when you are coming and we can work something out. If you were interested you could always come out to an agility practice session. We often go to the space on our own and work with the dogs in between classes. Is fun and can goof around :D

It's not really the cold you need to watch out for, although some areas have already received significant snowfall, it's the wind. The wind is strong enough and frequent enough that gusts need to exceed 90kph before Lethbridge gets a wind warning and category one strength hurricane level winds do occur frequently. The positive side of all that is when it's windy it's typically warm, not that you can actually do anything outside.

SSSShhhhhh! There is no snow and it will be a warm winter! That is the story I have in my head and so it shall be!!! Lol, November can be chilly... but there could also be Chinooks and it could go up into the 20's. Never know in southern Alberta ;) Would be great to meet you, just keep me updated :) Also if you ever go to the Island let me know and I will give you Susanne's email address, she had a litter of pups who are about 9 weeks now and fun if you feel the need for some CC puppy breath. lol. They have all been placed but she is retaining 3 so there should be some showing in your area this coming year :D
