Sleep in eyes.

Kazmaier had both cherry eyes removed Jan 27 the and the eBay. Vet did a great job! No problems with dry eye however.....prior to his surgery and while he had the cherry eye, he would get what we call "green kaka" in his eyes usually when he woke up. Looked like greenish pale eye boogers. We would always clean his eyes and at the time also put his medication in his eye which was a combination of anti-inflammatory and antibiotic. Now that his cherry eyes are gone, he still has the eye boogers. We clean them alloted time and they wash out with his natural tears and we also rinse out his eyes with artificial tears as per vet recommendation and some days are better than others but it's still there! Someone told me conjunctivitis is common in dogs and to have polysporin eye drops on hand but they don't sell that anymore in Canada. Does anyone else have this problem and can you buy polysporin eye drops in the United states?

Thanks everyone

Sounds like the problem i had with my female, she had the green kaka in her eyes and the vet had contributed it to her yeast problem and gave me some antibiotics for it, didnt help, so i just assumed it was caused by the yeast until i took her in for swollen lymph nodes and the vet had some blood work and samples sent away , she said it may be an infection so she gave me some clavamox for her and it cleared up the infection and no more green kaka eyes, just the regular brown eye boogers every dog gets. I would have some blood work done to see if he may have an internal infection and if they do give antibiotics make sure to get some probiotics to give with it to keep the guts inline. Clavamox seemed to get rid of the green gook when the other antibiotics couldnt. And i just bought polysporin eye drops a few months ago at the grocery store , didnt help with the green gook.

I started treating with his antibiotics and it has gotten a lil bit better but still there. His cherry eye removal was in Jan 2014 so I think it is more than that now. We'll see..Thanks :)
