Yeah we do the same thing Sunday dinner with the family, unfortunately my oldest is serving in the Navy in Virginia so it's my youngest son his girl friend and my MIL.
We had Sunday dinner last night as tonight we have to go to a wedding reception for the son of our Pakistani neighbor.
They always start parties late but no alcohol ( Muslim) so shouldn't be an issue.
I made traditional buffalo wings and garlic Parmesan wings they were darned good!
So we went to the neighbors wedding reception and WOW!
This was the 3rd event and culmination of a month of celebration.
Wedding was Friday night with 1000 people attending, Saturday was the brides family reception and Sunday was the grooms family reception there were at least 600 people there and the women wore the absolutely most beautiful and adorned outfits. I was in awe of some of the beautiful outfits the women wore and I usually could care less about that stuff.
I know my neighbor and her daughter traveled to Pakistan to obtain their wardrobes for these last 3 days of the wedding celebration. There was a beautiful girl and her 4 sisters sitting at our table who answered all of our questions and explained how and why everything worked, she was a very sweet girl.
My neighbors thanked us profusely for attending, they have lived next door for about 20 years and we have watched their kids grow up.
Very interesting night and I got to eat goat for the first time, I liked it.
