The dumbest statement/question I keep getting

My stories currently relate up my Irish Setter X as my EM puppy just got his last set of shots today so hasn't met a lot of people yet.
1)Jiggers is a very pretty dog and I have had a lot of people assume that he is a girl despite my saying 'boy'. The best was a lady who wouldn't stop arguing that it had to be a girl until Jiggers rolled over onto his back and proved that he was a boy. He always seems to know when he gets called a girl because he gives me this look that seems to say 'again?'.
2)His looks have always attracted people and on a couple of occasions people have wanted to use him as a stud to their dog. One was being so persistent that my response was that even if I said yes she wouldn't get many puppies to sell. She responded that her dog was a good mother and would have lots of puppies. When I said he was neutered she basically called me an unfit owner for having denied her the right to use my mutt's DNA to create more mutts.

I have had many mastiffs of all flavors in my home from doing rescue. I currently have 2 Tosa Inus and 2 Pit Bulls. My favorite is when I have my pits out and people are loving all over them saying how sweet they are then ask what type of dog they are, I tell them ad they shoot away from them and ask "Aren't you afraid they are gonna turn on you". My other common annoyance "How much dog food do you go through? or wow that's a lot to pick up after isn't it? I'm glad people don't really know about the Tosa breed because when people ask about them I can tell them not to get one!

I do laugh when people tell me that "she has big paws, you know she is going to be huge". I laugh and then point to one of my daughters and say, " Now this kid will only be about 5'3" but this one will get to about 5'6" " When they look at me with a puzzled face I explain I thought they would like to know how big everything is going to be in my family since they were explaining MY dog to me. But I also realize most folks are trying to be friendly and start conversation to find out about my pup and be able to pet her. However, I will say, no one ever seems scared of her, NO ONE. I think it is her tongue hanging out the side or her big soft eyes, but everyone just runs uo tp her and pets her and all dogs love her too.

Doesn't anybody get "Is that dog the one like the Sandlot dog?" I haven't seen it mentioned in this discussion but I get it constantly!! Ruger is only 13 weeks old but I know I have been asked that question a hundred times. Of course, I do get the "Look at his boys...Do you realize how big he is going to be?" comment as well as "I wouldn't want to feed him" .....Ruger is friendly and has only met a couple people he just doesn't care for (I am a believer in, if dogs don't like them, you should be concerned). Anyway, just my two cents.....I am already tired of hearing the Sandlot question and it has ony just begun.
