This little girl is sharp!

This little girl is sharp! 9 weeks old, less than 2 days here in a new environment and has "sit" pretty well nailed already, along with her "new" name and scratching at the door to go out to do her business! What's not obvious is she's triggering more on my hand signal than the spoken word "sit".

Nice! Mine learns very quick too! Hercules can learn a new trick in one trainingsession easily, if he is in his normal mood ofcourse :)

One of the reasons I went with this breed - I'm sure I'll discover the stubbornness too though eventually LOL

Spoke to my wife earlier (am in work :( ) our presa hid under our bed and wouldnt come out. 2 hours and numerous treat offerings later my wife gave in and moved the bed to get her out!!!

Bea has "paw" down pretty reliably too now. I started with having her "sit", then saying "paw" while taking her paw in my hand and then giving her a treat and praise. Over and over and over ;) again. Then I'd ask her for paw without taking it myself - when she responded, she'd get the treat and praise. Over and over and..well you get the picture. Patience and consistency, but also I didn't take any training session longer than 10 minutes, which seemed to be her attention span at this age. Did this several times a day and after about 3 days, she has it down pretty good. Of course, after 'sit' and 'paw', it gets a bit more difficult ;)
