To the Woman who stole our precious Mia.....
FIRST, I'd like to give you the background on how Mia became a member of our family.
We live in Colleyville, TX. Since January 2012 my mother has been battling 2 types of Lymphoma as well as lung cancer. I've been with her every step of the way: to every doctor apppintment; to every chemo treatment; taking care of her night & day when she was too weak to feed herself. My sister, who lives in Schertz has been a huge part of this long road as well, though difficult because of the distance between our homes. There has been much sadness, fear, and even grieving for someone not yet gone. It's been an emotional roller-coaster.
My husband gifted to my sister and I Yorkie sister puppies thinking we could share a positive experience together and it might bring some joy into our lives during such a difficult time. I fell in love with Mia instantly and she amazed us with her animation, sassiness, and sweet personality. She became a member of our family instantly. In the days she grew and played and loved, she became a symbol of Hope within our family.
My sister's puppy, Jesse Lou (sister to my Mia), loved Mia and they were always inseparable when together.
HOW YOU STOLE MIA
We got some great news that Mom's lymphoma's appear to be going into remission and was was feeling great the week of 4/28 so she, Mia, & I took the trip to Schertz to visit my sister and Jesse Lou (Mia's sister). We had to go this very week because Mom began radiation 5/6....every day for 6 weeks. It was the best 3 days we've all had in a long time until the unimaginable happened. My Mia and Jesse Lou found a low spot in the fence and crawled under it onto Savannah Parkway. Before I could run the few seconds around the neighborhood fence to retrieve them, a woman in a white SUV/truck stopped in the middle of the road, picked up Mia from the sidewalk, and jumped back in her vehicle. A witness/good samaritan, that picked up Jesse Lou, tried to question you but you just sped away. Thankfully, the good samaritan returned Jesse Lou immediately.
Our vacation and celebration became a nightmare. Our Mia was gone. We spent our next days and nights crying while posting flyers and reward posters, handed out litereally hundreds of flyers to anyone and everyone we could speak with. Checked shelters, vets, groomers, etc.
SECONDLY, it is apparent you have no intention of returning our Mia to us. I do not know what kind of person you are. I wonder if for some reason you needed Mia in your life more than us... as a symbol of Hope and Faith. I would like to think if you have any compassion you would return our Mia to us.
I pray and hope you are treating her like the little Princess she is.
I hope she is not scared or wondering why we haven't come for her.
I wonder if she's missing her favorite blanket and toys.
I know Mia is missing Jesse Lou because she's certainly missing Mia.
We will not carry hate in our heart for you. I do not wish anything bad to happen to you. However, I hope you have some sleepless nights feeling guilty for the inexcusable and hurtful actions you have committed against our family. Shame...Shame....Shame... on you!!!
Our family is heart-broken. An important member of our family has been taken away from our lives. Our Mia turned into a symbol of Hope and Faith amid our family during such a difficult time. Mia has been stolen from us.
It's been over 2 weeks since you stole the joy from our hearts. Our home is now quiet without the pitter-patter of her little paws following us around the house. Though we have not found Mia yet we will never quit searching.
We will not quit hoping that someone will see you with Mia and return her to us.
We will not quit having Faith that there is goodness within you and you will do what is right and return Mia to our family....to her family.
