All mastiffs are guarding breads. So it would'nt surprise me to get that from any. Some may be much more adapt but even the softest em line could throw a monster

I dont think she is. I'm just saying from looking at pics of others em or maybe a bm, the look is similar. Only thing I know for sure is that aint a fila ahahahaha.

Being always on patrol on walks doesn't mean much. We've got a couple people on here with harder tempered EMs. Any breed can throw that depending on the breeding and background. I don't think BM though, thats a fullsized nose, not a smushed BM one.

she is easy to train and knows her place in the family. the only problem is that if i walk up to pet another dog she will want to get in a small fight and does not like loud noises

Some of that may be her socialization previous to you owning her. Without you having owned her since she was a pup thats hard to be sure of. I'm gonna stick with either smaller EM cross or CC cross. CC crosses aren't uncommon cause people like to see if they can create a better 'macho dog'.

Yeah i would have thought she was an EM mix too. Mine is 9 1/2 yrs old, EM/BM mix, and she's 120 lbs. that's definitely on the smaller end of the scale, but she is 3/4 EM. So 80lbs at 2 yrs is pretty darn small but not completely out of the realm of possibility. she's spayed? She looks very thin - healthy - but young, not filled out yet.

Your description of her temp does run along what you could find in an EM. Looking at the other pictures and based on he weight she certainly could have some Tosa in her.

In any case, nothing about her says Fila.

Looks like an EM mixto me as well, though, I can't tell what she is mixed with. EM's can be very guardy. I have a harder EM and he is an incredible guard and ALWAYS alert if there is anyone present besides the two of us but honestly I would think that what you are describing really isn't a temperment thing, sounds like socialization issues. She sure is a pretty girl! :)

Tosa's aren't people friendly, they're 'tolerant' of strangers if well trained and socialized, I don't see one warming up to strangers the described. I'm still thinking smaller EM mix or CC mix....

I met a young man a couple of years ago, he had a young tosa, beautiful boy. Looked very much in the body like Ichigo's dog,. The dog was letting everyone love on him, great beast, but like I said,he was young, just coming up on 2 years. he was doing a lot of socializing with this dog, so it was very tolerant of other dogs around him.

Yah, but a dog thats well socialized frompuppy hood isn't the same as a dog who got some rather obvious issues from an unknown puppyhood. I suppose its possible, but I still don't see it.

She looks like an english mastiff mix, or maybe a purebred. Similar to a corso build. Not a fila though, but props for giving her a good home, english mastiff's are intimidating huge dog's, that are great guardians of the family, as i have heard!
