Visited Tyson today and he is feeling a lot better. He ate lots of his treats. I took my kids with me so they could visit too. He has to stay next week too but hopefully they can do the skin graft towards the end of the week. The look of disappointment on his face when we had to leave put a lump in my throat. He wanted to go with us so bad. They are feeding him boiled chicken and hotdogs so maybe he will put some weight back on soon. They are taking really good care of him. I will try to update again Monday when I see him again.

I'm sure it was very difficult leaving him but he's in a good place. Sounds like he progressing very well in the healing zone. :)

Poor Tyson

Paypal is fast and easy. I dont think they charge to send to friends and family. Thats how I just paid my deposit for our new puppy. I think all we would need is the email that is linked to it.

Also my daughter just told me about a site called GoFundMe that does this at no charge. Here is the link
http://www.gofundme.com/ .

What ever you set up Im in for $100 and my daughter said she will give $100
You are both in our thoughts.

I got a call from the vet this morning that Tyson is doing well. They are going to change his bandages today and asses his wound. I will let everyone know what they say after I visit this afternoon.

I guess I am in the stone age as I don't have paypal and I still write checks and put them in the mail to pay bills. Gofundme charges 7.9% plus 30 cents per donation according to their website. It would cost me $17 to open a PO box. If I did that I could post the address on here and it would only cost postage to you guys for what ever you sent. No one would have to put personal info on here that way. And I can post pics of the receipts on here as it goes to Tysons account. Let me know if that is OK. I thank you all again for your prayers and support.

What ever Is easy for you. If you have time for a P.O. Box and you dont feel comfortable sending your address in a PM then that sounds like the way to go.

And sorry about the gofundme thing. What a croc of $!!!.

I visited Tyson today and he looks like he is feeling better with more energy. His wound isn't healing as fast as they hoped so it looks like it will probably be next week until they can try the graft. He might be able to come home Wednesday for a couple days and take him back on Friday for a bandage change. Super excited about that!

Tyson is home until Friday when we go back for a bandage change. Just ate half a bag of treats and had some pain meds. Ready for a nap!

Tyson had to go back in the hospital. Not any complications. Just couldn't keep his bandage on. He is much more active at home and when his bandage is off there is a big chance of wound contamination. That would be a huge set back. His wound is looking better though. The vet said it isn't healing as fast as he thought it would so best estimate on the skin graft as of now is 5 to 10 days. I hope it is sooner than later.

This may sound silly but they make dog suspenders to keep socks on thier feet. What if you covered the bandage with a sock and used the suspenders? Just trying to help so you can bring your furbaby home soon :) dog suspenders.jpg

That is a neat idea. The vet called a little while ago and said they are trying a new way of wrapping it. So i guess we will see how it goes.
