So, I am looking up some info on a certain "Tosa Breeder" who is a joke and trying to get him shut down and I come across these ads in Casa Grande AZ. This guy is breeding Tosa / Cane Corso crosses and Tosa / Blue Tick Hound crosses. Unfriggin believable!! Talk about playing with fire and people are paying big bucks for these dogs. I'm sorry but you are creating monsters truly. Pisses me off to no end

The thing is with this "breeding" he is taking two potentially unstable dogs and doubling it. It is not the Bandogge approach of stable working dog breeding, the video of the female Corso looks like a a litter of Rott / Corso pups. Notice all the dogs live in dirt not one was clean, the pups nothing. Looking to make a buck or two is all.
I have had Fila crosses with Pit bull come into rescue (Disaster) Neo crosses same thing, I just can't imagine randoming breeding a Tosa with a Corso. I love my Tosa's and will always have one in the house but they are not your average molosser and not just anyone can own one. What I have seen is that the dog fighters are looking for the next best thing, they are moving away from the Pit Bulls and on to the molossers or molosser mixes. Soon many of our beloved breeds with be on the chopping block if something is not done. The only way to stop the dog fighting is not to ban the breeds but to make the penalties of getting caught very stiff. If you get busted and you are looking at a minimum of 10yrs time not a maximum of 1yr things will change.

Just a question, how do you go about shutting down a breeder like this?
By contacting the SPCA of the area and get them out there putting enough pressure on them that it is very difficult to breed. Making it known that they are a backyard breeder nothing is being done about genetic testing on these dog, nothing. He is breeding Rotts also contacting the AKC alerting them to the behavior so they will not register his litters and they will make complaints to the local SPCA also.

Gotcha, I didn't check out the site I just saw those two photos. I don't think there's any way to stop dog fights, if people are making bank they will find a way.

True about the fighting, just like drugs if there is money in it people will do it. I just think if the laws were stiffer and they were focused on the thugs that fight them not the breeds it would change somewhat. I just know with all the BSL BS I have to look closer at areas I want to live in in the future,

Mitsu was a product of a guy breeding a for a hybrid. She was a rosa mastiff cross pitbull and he called they "hybrid" a Tosit mastiff. Although her temperament was amazing her health was aweful hence why she dies at 9 months.

I dont think sentence length would change a thing. We kill people for murder and murders dont seem to mind. It's about enforcement. There just aint money in the pot to go looking for dog fights. We like to think of dog fights as some back woods or ghetto deal. But some of these guys have 10-20k on a single fight. Some pay 10k for lines. You can bet Mr Vic was'nt fighting them for 100 buck to the winner. In most cases the fighting is the least of the folks sins as well. Big dope boys and cartel members, boot leggers. Even on the low end most folks who fight dogs do other things that carry much harder sentences. You simply need folks to enforce the laws. If 4yrs in prison dont scare you then 10yrs dont scare you

I understand some people gotta do what they gotta do to make money, if you live in the hood , and have nothing, can't get a job you gotta go out and hustle. I can relate to that Growing up in Flint, Mi. I've known D boys, gangmembers all types of criminals, LOL. But I've never in my life met a dog fighter. I could never understand the mind set. Them weak ass dudes fighting dogs thinking they're tough should get in the box and fight to the death! They should make harsher sentences though, they may still do it, but if caught it would keep them off the streets for longer periods of time.

Now that I dont disagree with. More time cause the crime deserves it is fine. Lotta crimes need way more time then they tend to hand out. But it aint to make folks think twice. It's simply proper punishment for the crime .

Same here......even with my danes. WTF Most insurance companies ban them.

Its easy to bust people for suspected but unfortunately there's really no way to prevent dog fighting from occurring.

Trouble is they have to catch them in the act. And its an illusive thing. Like chuck.said they don't have the resources to chase hunches and alot of times thats all they have to go on.

I'm happy to see others have issues with what this person is doing. I called the Casa Grande humane society, but not sure if anything is being done about this. It's more than a backyard breeder, this is like an outdoor puppy mill. I see dogs living in squalor, and a rip off artist in action. They're using that Tosa to impregnate everything in the yard, that is not a breed you want in the hands of just anyone, even in a mix. I saw them selling those coon mixes for $150 a couple months ago, now they're over 6mth old and the price is now $1200. The Casa Grande ACO i spoke to didn't even know what a Tosa was. That would be great if other people would call to voice their concerns over this breeder. Casa Grande humane society number is (520)426-9300 website is http://www.casagrandeaz.gov/web/guest/pets
