So as some of you may have read in one of my prior threads I have an impending big move and I had a job opportunity. I have since negotiated with the person who offered me the new job to work part time for them while retaining my current full time job (I okayed this with my current boss as well, it is non-competing but I wanted to be on the up and up).
So I am now working insane hours but the second job is all from home, so much of my insane hours is from home. And then I picked up some kind of stomach bug so today I worked from home all day doing both jobs (7 am - 9:20pm total for today) Kahlua is passed out next to me and Diesel is keeping the hubby company in the bedroom while I finalize my work. (I also worked through the entire Thanksgiving holiday and am planning to the same over Christmas).
Diesel has been pretty angry that I haven't been able to give him his 1 hour of alone snuggle time in bed this week. But overall the pups have been handling it like champs and have been ultra sensitive to my exhaustion. Good good dogs.
I am praying that all of this extra work pays off in the form of enough money to put a down payment on a home after the move so that our time renting will be at a minimum. Fingers crossed that I can make it through these insane hours intact and that I have something awesome for the whole family to show for it all at the end of this.
My sister asked me what I want for Christmas and the only thing I could think of was "the downpayment for a home or an extra ten hours in the day so I can sleep". She said "How about a hug? I can give you a hug." I said "I'll take it but are you sure you can't get me an extra ten hours in a day?"
Haha so if you don't see me online or active quite as often that is why. Hopefully it doesn't mean I have worked my way into an early grave... Don't worry I'm pretty sure that neither my husband nor my dogs would allow that to ever happen.
Anyhow I hope the rest of you are facing the upcoming holidays with excitement and lots of cheer. Me I'm just trying to survive it and wondering if I can justify at least one chestnut praline latte this season. I'm pretty sure the extra caffeine is warranted. :-D
Happy wishes for sloppy dog kisses to all of you and I hope things are calmer and more settled on your end of things. <3
