Why does he do this?

Jack now "hugs" us gently when we are on the floor. He doesn't nip, play bite or do any harm, he just wants to play and usually he has a toy in his mouth that he wants to "trade" lol :))) I repeated so many time GENTLE that i think somehow he came to understand the concept, lol :))

Hello sarros0510. I agree with seasons comment. While the EM is not the war dog of old he is still more dog than regular dogs like GSD,
ROTTs,MALs etc. I raised one to the age of seven before he died from cancer. I also obtained one for my sister and he is currently eight y
yrs old. I found them to be more forgiving of mistakes there owner may make as opposed to some of the others. With that said your EM w
will protect your family from man or beast with out hesitation. This is were seasons advise will come in handy.

Relative to the Leer burgh link I would like to shank him for his service as a police officer and I respect his thirty years as a trainer but from what I've read he only has experience with GSDS and MALs. IMHO the dogs on this forum and many others not discussed here are what I call superior guardians. These dogs will take a trainers game to the next level if he or she decided to own one.

Remember control is the key no matter what breed a person owns.

Good luck.
