Why you should never wrap a leash around your wrist.

I use to wrap the leash around my wrist when I walk jack: I've been body surfing on the sand once at the beach, when he decided to play soccer with some people... However, to be honest, I prefer few bruises and my dog under control then dropping the leash and see what happens...

I made the mistake of lacing it between my
Pinkie and my ring finger once. Took months for that little bit of stupid to heal but I agree.

Mouse should have someone well enough to to control him holding his leash as he protects mom. Glad she wasn't hurt worse and I hope the morons that causes the trouble were educated enough to not do that again.

I'm sorry this happened. I don't know what is wrong with people sometimes. Hopefully your wife heals quickly.

I always have the leash around my wrist. Either way, sorry you had to have a front row seat to the Idiot Circus. I do my best to either not go or sit in the nose bleeds:)

As Remi is my service dog and part of her job is to pull my wheelchair if I'm in it I hold her harness handle. (Remembering to let go when I want to stop is a work in progress lol) Her leash is usually loosely held in the hand holding her harness but I don't use the handle at all. When I taught obedience, week one was about not wrapping leash around hand, wrist etc for that very reason.
