Will not eat organ meat

Ok so Im starting to get a little worried with Hank...we have been raw feeding for months and I have not been able to successfully get him to eat organ meat. Everything I have tried he turns his nose up at. He is sort of a picky eater to begin with..he eats his food but he never scarfs it down or seems overly excited about it. Every time I try to give him organ meat he just turns his nose up. I have tried mixing it in with his other food and he will eat all around it and leave it in the bowl. Ive tried giving it to him frozen and that wont work. I have tried dehydrating it and giving it as treats and he wont take it. I have even tried cooking it a little in the frying pan and that didn't work. I am getting so frusterated and at a loss for what to do. I know he needs the organ meat but I don't know what else to do!!!

Hmmmm

I've always had the opposite problem, Apollo would try to survive on liver allone if I let him.

Have you always tried one type of liver? Maybe liver from another animal? Or, there are companies who make a powdered organ supplement, though I don't know if he'd like that any better. I suppose if it came down to it a multivitamin is better than nothing.....

Yes I have tried a few different types of liver and kidney as well...nothing!!! I can maybe try the powdered organ supplements and mix them with yogurt or peanut butter..he loves those :) What type multivitamin do you suggest?

I think I will give the organ concentrate a try..hopefully I can mix it in something without him noticing!!!

Cut it up really small and mix it with green tripe (if you can get it from a farm though mine picks through it at times). My dog also favors everything over organs and is picky. She has never eaten the average amount, always below and is still growing correctly at 31 weeks she is 76lbs (female tm). She isn't as extreme it seems as hank but I mix it with green tripe or I wait her out. I know it hard but she never starved herself. I have also tried mixing organ pieces with some ground, Egg and yorgart with some success.

I know of a few raw feeders who just "force-feed" the organ meat: open the dog's mouth and place in back of throat so they swallow it. That's been the only way they can get it down their dog's throat.

Seems a little drastic, but some people do it...

Titan would not organ meat and then I tried searing it and it ate it! I've periodically try to give it to him raw and he refuses to eat it.

Try searing it.

Try putting it in soft scrambled eggs, after you have lightly seared it or melt some butter in a pan, turn off the heat and add the liver. Our Mr. Picky can't resist either way.

Haha Ruth same with Stone and Mason. Thor on the other hand was picky, except when it came to the doggy crack, but he would only eat it if it was ground, not the chunks.

How about putting a dab of peanut butter on it?
Or Parmesan cheese?

If you haven't tried green tripe yet... I'd go grab a chub of that from the local fancy pet food store...
Once I knew Denna liked it, I bought a case of the green tripe organ blend from GreenTripe.com (via our bulk buying group). She never gets tired of that stuff.
They say green tripe is like crack for dogs...

Our bulk group also does a ground beef with organ mixed in... I made myself of burger out of it, too (yes, I'm that crazy)... couldn't taste the organ meat. It's only mixed in at 10%, so blends in well. That's one product Denna's not that crazy about... maybe because it's ground? Not sure... she normally inhales anything I put in her dish.
