Woman arrested after dog left in hot car in Pleasant Hill dies
Saturday, June 29, 2013

PLEASANT HILL, Calif. -- A woman whose dog died after being left in her locked vehicle Friday at a downtown Pleasant Hill parking garage has been arrested on suspicion of cruelty to animals resulting in death, Pleasant Hill Police Sgt. David Nichols announced Saturday.

Police say Angela Kleinfeld, 38, left her boxer inside her parked vehicle in the garage at 160 Crescent Drive at around 4 p.m. The dog was inside the vehicle without sufficient ventilation, according to police.

Police, which received a call about a dog in distress, were forced to break into the car to get to the dog. The dog was taken to the SAGE veterinary hospital where the dog died.

Kleinfeld was located at the scene and taken to the Pleasant Hill Police Department. Temperatures were over 100 in Pleasant Hill on Friday.

Suspicion of cruelty to animals? Seriously?

Now, the judge needs to sentence her to be locked her up in a hot car for the same amount of time that it took for her dog to die. Maybe then she'll learn some common sense and know what he went through.

Stupid b*tch.

This is literally 10-15 minutes from my house! This makes me Sooooo PISSED OFF that someone could be that Stupid as to leave a pet in a car in this kind of triple digit heat!!!! Are people that clueless.
That reminds me of when I was at a car show and it was well over 100 degrees out. It was in a huge parking lot at a College and I see some guy walking around with his pitbull. the ground was so hot the dog was dancing, we were like "hey you need to get that dog in the shade his paws are burning!!!" Some people just shouldn't own pets........

This stuff upsets me so much! I can't understand what the hell goes through some people's heads. It is so sad to think how bad it must have been for him in there. And to think if the outcome would have been different, meaning if the lady would have returned to the car before anything bad happened no matter how uncomfortable the dog was in the heat he would have still been happy to see her and licking hr face! I hate stupid people!
