Won't stop humping!

As of the last two days, Gunny won't stop trying to hump our Scotty all day long. He's been breathing heavily for the last two days as well. It's very unlike him to not take naps throughout the day, but this weekend he would not leave Willie alone and it's driving him crazy. Is this something normal? He'll be two in March and is still intact. He's never acted like this before.

There maybe a female in heat in your neighborhood.
And ya not unheard of. It is the exact reason for my exgf naming her EM Romeo.

Ditto you may have a bitch in heat nearby.

You may want to crate and rotate for a few days, or keep both dogs on leashes, till the behavior stops.

Ditto with a female in season around.. I'm going thru this right now with my male. He starts whining, wont eat.. royal pain in the rear.

Just as mentioned crate and be stern that it's not acceptable behavior, usually last us 3-4 days.

Our 9 mo EM won't leave the couch cushions alone! Same solution?? Crate? We're using a stern "no" and practicing "off" and "no couch"?!?!

When my female was in heat this is all Angus would do, too. He wouldn't stop humping, was breathing very heavily and wouldn't take any rests. Corrections and discipline wouldn't stop him at all. I didn't get any sleep for that whole week because if he wasn't humping Thalia then he was whimpering, whining and barking because he wasn't close enough to her.

When Kimber was in the picture for a bit (even though she was NOT in heat, she had been spayed) Ruger went ape shit and there was NOTHING I could do to stop him from trying to hump her, lick her chest or dominate her in some form. His teeth chattered, he shook all over, didn't listen to a word I said........It was horrible. Maybe someone can help you with this...In Ruger's case, the only answer was to separate them and I mean separate houses because different rooms didn't work.......He was out of control! Otheriwse, he has never even attempted to hump anything or anyone in his entire two years.
