Words that bother you

Everyone seems to have them, so what are some of the words that either by the way they sound, or what they mean really grind you the wrong way?

I know MOIST is a really popular one to dislike. It just sounds dirty.

Obviously the C U Next Tuesday word is a no no in almost every situation.

Me personally....every time I hear the word HELLA, I want to bitch slap the person.

p.s. I'll let someone else add the G word.

I hate the use of the words retarded and gay. I also hate when someone whatever's me or "k"s me. Biggest pet peeves ever.

I'm OK if someone whatever or K's me if they're being funny about it, but if it's their canned response, then yeah, that's ret.......sorry, stupid.

It bothers me when people say "I could care less". It's "couldn't".

Also, people never ever use the word verbiage correctly.

I really don't like any derogatory terms. I have been known to use the cu next Tuesday word when I'm super mad though. I swear like a sailor.

I dont know why everyone is skating around this, the word is Cunt. I have a tshirt that I specifically bought for the reaction. I play in a golf tourney held by a bar every year. I bought a shirt that said "What do we want, A cure for Tourette's, When do we want it, Cunt!" I knew it would get one of three responses, especially from women. They would either find it funny, reprehensible or wouldn't get it. Well I got there and there were three girls at the sign in table and I got ALL THREE reactions right there, one girl thought it was funny, one thought I was the worst person she ever met and the third was blonde ;)

I have a long list of words that drive me nuts. Retard and gay when used as a derogatory term. Niggardly drives me nuts for some reason. One writer that I know decided it was his new favorite word so he used it about a dozen times in his one book. I wanted to throttle him but just said, "Guess you learnt a new word."

Other words I don't like...people who say anyways...it is anyway, it is always anyway. People who write a lot as alot. My son was driving me nuts with "you know, right?" and I hate yep or huh or wha? It is yes or pardon or I'm sorry, I didn't hear you. Or mispronounciations of any word will usually bother me, but only if English is your first language. So when someone says, "Yeah, it was quite a bru-jaw." I want to scream, "You idiot it is brou-ha-ha." I had a friend who would only pronounce it as brujaw and I have no idea why.

"What do we want, A cure for Tourette's, When do we want it, Cunt!"

I have the same shirt lol

I've never let words bother me they are after just "words" and offer no threat I'm also a Brit so swearing isnt something that bothers me (watch Brit TV) and i was bought up to know the difference between bad words and good words instead of trying to pretend bad words don't exist!

only thing that irritates me is people who have to use the term "know what I'm saying" to string together a sentence

Good lord none of yall would hang out with me. I either say whay you hate, your dont understand what you typed. ahahaha. I dont know what cu next tuesday is but will say retarded. I dont hate the N word just dont use it. f you do use it have the balls about you to use it in front of those you speak of. I will call a white boy a cracker and am a proud cracker. But dont think any one else needs to use it if they dont want a harsh responce. dont know what ghey, gehy, or rumad means. I dont say cunt, K, bro cause their gay. ahahahaha. I do say bra in a southern draw. Whatever pisses me off. Either prove your point or concede bitch. I also use derogatory words and sayings even about my self. I often call my self a dumb ass, retard, asshole, and a host of other things. To me it's about intent. The context behind the word not the word. The owner of our buggy site gets called ginger all the time. Dont bother him. But again it's in context. I'll call him ginger no problem, but he call me just about anything in the world as well. If you dont have that kinda relationshp you dont get on that level

I don't use the N word and I don't use the word niggardly either. It means reluctant to give or spend; stingy; miserly. or meanly or ungenerously small or scanty. When I read, I hate reading "big" words. I always have this urge to start clapping and say, "Very good, you know a big word." Yes, there are times when a "big" word works but if you are putting it in your book just to look intellectual then you are an ass. LOL. I read one book where the guy wrote whole paragraphs in French and then he didn't translate them. I was fuming by the time I finished the book (yes, I read the damn thing to the end) because I had to keep stopping to translate the French. I couldn't just leave it alone.

I'll be buying this for my brother. My wife surprisingly found it funny, but it wouldn't be worth the fight any time I wanted to wear it.
