I had to feed Kryten kibble soup for a few months. I used a doughnut shaped bowl and added enough water so that the kibble floated. This allowed the food to move away and it forced him to slow down.

You can buy those special bowls with built in bits that's sposed to slow them down when they are eating? Zachs always eaten fast but in the morning with weet bix that slows him right down gets stuck on the bottom when he's flat out pigging out and if he has mash Potatoe mixed in with dinner that has the same effect!

You could hide little handfuls of kibble around the house and have her use her nose to find it. You could try hand feeding her, too.

One thing I used to do with Thalia was put little handfuls of kibble under Tupperware containers (the Tupperware container would be upside down with the opening covering the food). I could stack them up as high as I wanted or make a little course around the kitchen and she had to knock them over to get to her kibble.

Thanks heaps ppl for your advice now I do have a special dog bowl to dole her down and sometimes try spread food out n hand feeding would be effective but very time consuming for yrs to come etc and I feed them 3 times a day in smaller amounts . Now I worry with that bowl and her trying flat out to get food out of it that she may be sucking in 2 much air etc this is my main concern with her eating so fast also as I worry for bloat etc . Thanks

I've seen the suggestion of putting tennis balls in their food bowl so that have to work around them to eat.

Good idea but I also worry about sucking to much air in aswell . I know I worry 2 much about it but she the pup is so full in with food she will go on a high after eating for 5 min sniffing flat out for more etc
