Cane Corso dad

Hello, I have a 8 month cane Corso female who has a small reductible umbilical hernia. The vet has stated it is small enough to just leave but that a operation would cut the risk of complications further in life another than this she is a healthy happy girl with an extremely loving temperament and quite the pedigree. My question is if I elected to have the surgery to rectify the issue could there be problems when pregnant or whelping because of this hernia? I have spoke to the breeder and they are sure there is no history of this with the sire (whos bloodline they have had for 3 gens) and dam (whom they have had for 2 gen). They also informed me mum can be Abit rough due to her size, she was 50kg when I viewed her 10 weeks after giving birth and that my pups umbilical cord has bit quite close to the stomach and they did believe she had a slight infection that was treated. From what I saw the puppies played very rough and I wouldn't be surprised if the umbilical cord was pulled on by them two but I don't know how long the cord stays attached for or even if they are capable of play while it's on. I would also like advice whether breeding her at all would be a good idea based on the mentioned situation but will have her undergo hip and elbow scores regardless. Any info preferably from an experienced breeder would be appreciated greatly!!!
