Hi All!
I hope this message finds everyone well?
I'm Jason from North Wales in the UK and just registered here - cant believe i hadn't found the site sooner - what a great place
I'm the VERY proud owner of Fluffy (Yeah! I know, i know!), a 3 and a half year old male Bullmastiff who is my pride and joy - something i'm sure you can all relate to? Ive enclosed a picture of when we went camping last year - its one of my favourite photos
I did have a question that im hoping someone can help with though?
Today, the poor Fluffs has been castrated - it wasn't a decision we had much choice in sadly, as he had an infection over the last couple of weeks and it was diagnosed Fluffy had an issue with the tubing connected to the testicles and it was causing them to swell.
Whilst the procedure has gone well, its now some 10 hours since the surgery was completed and he is very restless and "whining" - neither are traits i would associate with his personality "normally".
There is no swelling/excessive redness or tears to the area and he is comfortable with us checking the area, nor is he trying to lick/scratch the area.
I appreciate that whilst this is a very common operation, its still "an operation", and my question really is, should i be concerned at this point, or should i stop being the over protective owner for the time being and see how he is in the morning?
Any advise would be great!!
Thanks in advance,
Jason
