We have made the decision to go raw, not only for Angus for also our older girls as well. No major concerns except on how to get Angus to slow down when he eats. Suggestions and advice welcome. :)

Yeah, I would go big. Also, some people freeze the pieces, which slows the dog's pace.

Also, try holding on to the end of a chicken quarter or frame while he eats. He may get the idea to slow down that way.

Agree with the above. We held Cane's chicken the first couple of times for him. Don't be surprised if they regurgitate large pieces back up. This is normal for a dog who eats too fast or tries to swallow pieces that are too large. Most dogs just re-eat it. This is not vomit. Don't panic.

Washington has a lot of raw feeders. You may be able to find a good co-op. I believe Dennasmom is in Washington you might PM her. I think she belongs to a co-op.

Good Luck!

Thanks all for the suggestions and advice! I'll PM Dawn and see if she has any good leads. We're on opposite ends of the state but WA isn't that big. :)

Bane has been eating raw since he was 7 weeks. He's 3 months now and prefers his food frozen. Slows his hoovering down a lot and helps him chew better!
