Amounts to feed?

So i know the ratio is 80/10/10 :/ regards to muscle meat/bone/organs, but how much, like poundage I guess, would I feed my dog per day?

You feed your pup 2-3% of his expected weight. For example, expected weight is 100 lbs. You feed 2 lbs of food per day meaning you feed approximately 1.5 lbs of meat, 2 ozs of meaty bone and 2 ozs of organ meat. Avoid organ meats for the first 2-3 weeks and then slowly introduce to prevent diarrhea.

Adjust food accordingly to body condition. If too thin, increase to 3 lbs per day.

Thanks Deb. There is an overwhelming amount of info on the web, so I figured someone here would know best for the Mastiff breeds

By expected weight, do you mean what he should weigh at this age? Or his expected adult weight? May be a stupid question, but sometimes I'm slow on the uptake

And, that amount is just a starting point... you'll need to adjust per the individual dog's energy level and metabolism.

Denna is down to about 1.6% of her adult weight (but we may have over-estimated her final adult weight, also). She's topping out about 30lbs UNDER her mom's weight (mom was 185lbs at 3 yrs)... and her dad was a much bigger boy (200lbs at 2 yrs old).

Love the feedback. I tried asking about raw feedings on Facebook and all I got were derogatory comments on his feeding raw is bad because they've evolved to eating kibble, and all kinds of of the wall opinions. I don't think anyone evolves to be able to thrive off over processed cardboard. We don't thrive when eating McDonald's. I just don't know about some people....
