Hi all, I'm new to this site. I have a 5 year old brindle EM I rescued 3 years ago. I would love to have another but he does not like other dogs at all. I've tried to introduce him to other's but he goes in for the kill. I have no idea what the previous owner did to him to make him be that way. Anyway, I'm looking forward to reading all I can on here. Have a good one !!!

Welcome aboard~ Some mastiffs just do not like other dogs. Titan doesn't like male dogs but will play with 2 female EM's on a play date. He may need more socialization but since you are aware of his dislike for other dogs, take the necessary precautions. Thank you for rescuing him!

Welcome to the board!
It could be a socialization issue. But at his age now, I don't know if that can be worked out all that well. Someone with more knowledge will have to chime in on that. My previous BM was DA as well, no matter how much socialization we tried. She got along well with my EM at the time, but that was it. It was just something we lived with.
