At a loss!!

I am trying not to get frustrated with my husband, it is really difficult for someone especially for a man to admit he is scarred of something and on top of him admitting that he is still giving Odin a shot. I think he will come around and bond with him, it will just take a while for my husband to trust Odin but I think the day will come. He has a good heart and he loves animals, I know he will grow to love Odin as much as I do.

There is only one thing better (well besides the obvious) than sitting on the couch and your big giant pup sits against your leg and you can wrap your arms around him and get a big giant dog hug, Odi even leans in and sets his head on my shoulder for a hug back. A hug from your human is the other good thing. Get your hubby to try it some time. He will melt and his mind will change about big dogs.

Ditto!

As for girlfriend...abso-f-ing-lutely! I would have slammed the door, too! I've got your back, pup.

Your husband needs to start taking more of a role in Odins daily care, feeding, training, grooming etc, the more he does with him the better chance of him forming a strong bond with him and he will become less afraid of him.
