Well, I wanted to log the process of my new pups process of growing. She is an underfed cane corso rottweiler mix we got about a week ago. She looks she got more of the corso gene. She weighed 26 pounds when we weighed her a week ago. She is 3 months. And like the title says her name is Bear. I am a mmj patient( I have crohns ) so please excuse the plants if you aren't comfortable. I do not normally let her smell(it's fenced as you can see) I just wasn't prepared for a little sneaky pup that wanted a sniff! haha. Well I also have a 5 year old Siberian Husky and a 2 year old German Shepherd. Anyway let the pictures of growing commence! I think it takes these guys a full 2 years to fill out right?

Thanks a lot and wow up until 3 wow ok haha. My GSD and Husky filled out around 2. Speaking of them here they are. And I can't wait till she packs on more weight. Both my GSD and Husky like to play "rough" and the pup tries to join in but she is just to small right now and gets nosed to the ground too easy haha. It's cute but I can tell she really wants to play with them.

Your pups are beautiful!

Yes, mastiffs continue to grow until 2-3 years of age. Titan gained 10 lbs a month before he turned 3 yrs of age. Slow and steady growth is key to a healthy mastiff. It is best to keep them on the thin side.

My Siberian had one brown and one blue eye. I miss that boy every day.

Use this body condition chart to help with the pup's growth.

Thank you very much. Any chance you have a chart with a weight by month kind of deal? I could google it but as I don't know much about mastiffs yet I wouldn't know which one(s) to go by. I appreciate the help that anyone gives me as like I said, new to the mastiff breeds.

Do you think this chart is a good average? Weight is in KG so if you want pounds just multiply those numbers by 2.2. I tried to edit this in my other post but it wouldn't let me... This site is so restrictive haha.

The chart sounds about right but the pup's weight will depend on the pup's heritage, food he eats and the care he receives. Too many variables for a specific weight chart for a specific breed of pup. I guess it could be used a general guideline. 88 lbs is a pretty good weight for a 1 yr old CC. However, body condition is more important than weight.

my opinion those charts can be thrown out the window, Deb's body chart is what we go off. our babies are so different its not even funny at 10 weeks Tornado and Jezebel were around 16lbs and at 10 weeks mystery and pandora were both 21lbs from that point on tornado and jezebel shot up like rockets gaining steady til at 7 months they hit 85ish pounds and slowed down and mystery and pandora just now 7 months are about 65lbs and not to thin.

Gorgeous dogs, yes I would keep an eye on body condition rather then number weight like suggested. First it's a mix so no weight or growth chart is going to match that good, it was very underfed as a puppy which will throw all that off and corsos do grow at incredibly dif rates depending on genetics mostly, my 8month old male outweighs my 14month female

Well Bear just got back from the vet today as I thought she had vaginitis or a UTI(as it's common in puppies) and I was correct, she had vaginitis. So we got her antibiotics. She weighs 30 pounds now. This video is a few days old(she looks a little bigger) and I will get more current shots from today up soon.

She is cute. She got a really shot rotti tail dock. I wonder why dock tails of clearly mixed breed puppies.

Thank you and yeah the old owners of these puppies didn't treat them the best... One of her brothers someone stepped on it's head and it's now mentally retarded... Really sad... Im surprised I got her without her ears docked too. Personally I am against all docking of any kind to any breed. I mean how would you like it if I cut your pinkie toe off as you don't really use it? Just my logic. But anyway, yeah they cut her tail I think at the first or second vertebra compared to the 4th(standard dock for a CC) But I don't understand the CC tail docking... Why not just keep the tail if you are cutting at the 4th and it's the size of half a tail anyway.

So adorable, love her face!
Thanks you. She does have a cute face. I still can't decide if it's more mastiff or rotty. I am leaning mastiff. Can't wait to see her grown up :)

I don't know much about rotties, I am still trying to distinguish whether she will end up looking more mastiff or rotty. Any tips on rotties from your personal experience?

Thank you very much. She is a huge cuddle bug and we hope to keep her that way. She has been an amazing puppy so far. Potty trained in the first few days we had her. Is learning pretty fast not to leave our front yard, and doesn't bark much(so far haha) But she is slowly getting her voice. I'll have more updates soon guys. I weighed her a fews days ago and she weighs 35 pounds. She eats like a pig and we have to monitor it.
