  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

Booker is home! And growth thread.

Follow-up visit today for vaccinations He was 25.8 this afternoon so a gain of 2.6lbs. I am keeping him fairly lean.
He is so great. His nickname is The Puppy of Most Supreme Awesomeness. :p
I've cut his toenails without any bother. He knows crate up, touch, take it, out, in the house, lets go outside, come, sit...well whether he does any of these things "on command" is a bit of a crap shoot LOL. Hot dog pieces help.

The two resident grown up dogs are benign towards him but won't play with him (yet.) So I don't have any adorable cuddly photos of them together for size comparison. The Lab is about 70 lbs, the JRT x cattle dog about 30 lbs. I thought it would be fun to have these pics to refer back to later though. Sitting waiting for hot dog bits, and him following Fiona around the fence on her morning perimeter patrol.

Omg that perimeter control is so cute!!

I think you and many others here will get the body language...about five minutes before this photo she chastised him with her "ugly face" for being too close.
This little dog was raised by Rottweilers and her BFF at her early doggie daycare was a Leonberger that outweighed her by about 150 lbs and she could have cared less. She is a very tough cookie!

Yes indeed, he is smart enough to cringe when required! Probably why he is still alive LOL. She is a fantastic dog, but strict with uppity puppies. She has raised quite a few fosters but she doesn't take any shit.

Love the pics...although a deluge wouldn't be too much. :)

Benign is good. At least there is no serious hostility...

He is just too cute. Take lots of pictures and enjoy it because you will go to sleep one night with the little guy and wake up to a dog. I so miss Rugers puppy days. Can't believe it's been three years and my little guy is over 200 pounds now. I look forward to watching your guy grow. :)

Great pictures! Benign from the older dogs is good. Helps pups learn the world doesn't revolve around them. The top dog in our house is the 4 lb, 10 year, toothless chihuahua Diva - Angus has out weighted her from day 1 -but she NEVER backs down. He will still tuck tail and run when she comes barking after him for being too boisterous in the house - or pulling her blanket off and running away with it. It's taken a year for our boxer Bella to "play" with Angus - they love to "get the bunnies" . Rabbits are faster than both of them but a game of doggy tag always ensues mid "hunt".

I wasn't going to update this until his next vet visit on August 21, but he had an unexpected vet visit today after falling off some steps. (He's fine.) He has gained 8 lbs in 11 days, and I am really working to keep him on the lean and ribby side.

At 10 weeks 5 days he is 32.3 lbs and 15 1/2 inches at the withers.

Thanks and yes he is! Definitely getting in touch with his feisty side though and his energy levels have really picked up over the last week. The older dogs still refuse to play with him, but he is going tomorrow and maybe Friday as well to daycare. First obedience class Saturday morning and Sunday may take him out on a friend's boat on the river.

He has a definite waist and when he's in motion and flexing I can see all his ribs although faintly. But he still seems to be growing alarmingly fast!

Today at 12 weeks and one day, he got his third set of shots and is 39 lbs exactly. That means he has gained about 15 lbs in the last 22 days! My tape measure is on a job so not sure right now how tall he is, but he's sure getting leggy.
And getting some muscle definition

OK, so I am having some real issues with this site and have for some time..
Trying to edit to add:
it's hard to get photos of him in motion because he wants to get right in my face, or sit on my feet, when we are outside. Took him out on row and paddle boats on the river last Sunday and he was totally chill with it. So far he is a pretty bomb-proof puppy and goes with the flow.

He definitely has evil poptart puppy "I'm about to do a bad bad thing" moments now, though. Frequently. o_O

Yes once you leave a thread or 5 mins has laps it will not let you edit.

He's looking great, and yes there pretty bomb proof.
That is until fear stages kick in.

Yeah, it's been so long since I've had a puppy, I'd forgotten about fear imprint periods. So far not much fazes him, but we're ready if he starts to get silly.

That first pic was one my friend texted me when she came over to let him out, on a day when I couldn't take him to work. I texted her back saying watch out, he's about to have a zoomie!
For some reason I can't view this site on Firefox, so when on my computer I have to use Internet Exploder. o_O

Love the new pictures! I exclusively use Firefox and I don't have a problem with the site. What happens when you try to view from Firefox?

It comes up in l think what is called basic html? Just all funky and l can't see photos. Have chrome on my mobile devices but haven't synced google on the tablet so l can't post pics from here. I will take a screen shot and post to the help & feedback forum. Every other site comes up perfect, its just this one.

Just got back from obedience class and unfortunately it didnt wear him out this time! He is bouncing around the back yard barking at grass. Puppies are so retarded.
