Hello Folks,
Our boy Charlie (a Boerboel/Bullmastif cross) has been gaining approximately one pound a week.
At 13 weeks old, he weighs 33 pounds.
He is on Acana Large Breed Puppy food, and wolfs down 3 cups of food a day, divided into 3 meals (morning, mid day, and early evening). On top of that, he gets small amounts of chicken, cottage cheese, yougurt, sardines, cooked mixed veggies, cooked egg, chopped fresh greens, apple, bits of raw carrot, raw beef bones, and anything else he can wrap his huge mouth around (including nyla bones, toys, cardboard boxes, empty plastic milk jugs, sticks, any garden plants that are still around, grass, leaves, bird seeds, feathers, bunny poops.... Well you get the picture, lol.
My little hoover baby appears to be starving.
He's not thin, he's not fat, he looks good, but he seems like he's super hungry all the time.
My question is, are three cups of food a day plus the toppers mentioned above enough for a growing Mastiff boy, who is gaining one pound a week???
Here are a few pictures, to give you all an idea of the shape he's in.
