We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.
I start trimming as soon as they come home. Then add grinding as they get a little older. Young pups nails are easier to cut IMO.
Grinding I start getting them used to the dremmel at 4 months give or take.
We had to do a trim on day 1. Denna had the sharpest little points on her nails!!
She did really well the first time... then she got squirmy.
Not that she knows each nail cut = 1 piece of cat food... she sits still for me (most of the time).
I'd recommend starting from day 1 also & daily handling of feet & toes. This will make nail trims later on in life much easier on you or whoever will be trimming the nails.
