Daisy baby was spayed this am...

Crossing fingers! But the sort of inactivity that you get after major surgery isn't the same as normal lazyness so its possible.

So she refused her pain meds last night and was almost her old self this morning, right up to the point she went after my female Pom for no reason. No toys or food in the area so she obviously was hurting so back on the meds and into slug mode. I'm glad you only have to go through this once!

Ok, just finding the right balance between pain meds and functionality. Her swelling in her legs is going down a bit with the lower dose pain meds but she is still knocked out. The fact that she resumes her puppy enthusiasms when off the dope makes me feel better. Even if the swelling goes down completely I'm going to have the echo done on her heart. At least we will have a baseline.

Glad she is getting better and hope everything comes out fine with her test. Poor girl. I bet it is just as hard on you as it is on her. Y'all are in my thoughts.

The echo is on Friday, right? Keep us posted on Miss Daisy. My advice to you, have a shot and a beer. This way you can join Daisy in lala land. :p

Lala land is a fun place to be!! I was there for a few days post wisdom teeth removal. Let's just say I enjoyed it ;)

Daisy is doing great. The edema is gone and she is her normal pushy obnoxious self.... and that is ON narcotics! Tomorrow is day 7 so she had her last dose tonight. Vet said to keep her on it for minimum of 7 days. Her echo is in the morning at 9. Honestly I'm not worried a bit. She has been spayed so the worst is behind us. I'm doing the echo more for a baseline so that if she does start having any problems we know where she started. I'll let you know what the radiologist says tomorrow! :)

Best wishes for a good report tomorrow.
Vegas has some heart issues also and we just
keep a close eye on her and pray she remains
the happy healthy girl she is.

Very mild aortic stenosis, could be enough to cause the murmur but not bad enough to cause the edema. The edema is gone and goober girl is back to normal so we are considering it a baseline echo and are movin on movin on! It's all good.
